Speaking of conferences (see previous post), the Canadian Carey Family Conference is coming up once again this August. I’m really excited to attend this year. It will be the first year that I’ve been able to go for the whole week, and I’m really looking forward to it.

Here is a note, link, and video from Harry Droogendyk, who is coordinating the conference this year. If you live within driving distance of Southern Ontario and want to have your family sit under some great preaching for a week in the month of August, why not register?

We’re very excited to announce the opening of online registration for the 2009 Canadian Carey Family Conference on our brand new website!

Please see the 2009 conference page for the online registration link. The 2009 Carey brochure is also available for download at the bottom of the same page.

We’re anticipating a wonderful year of ministry and fellowship and we’d love to see you and many others from your church family join us.  If you know of others who might be interested in the Carey Family
Conference, please do forward this email to them.

The 2009 conference will be taking place August 22-28 at the Braeside camp in Paris Ontario. Our plenary speaker will be Thabiti Anyabwile of First Baptist Church of Grand Caymen, a regular conference speaker. He will be speaking on Questions For Jesus. The other sessions will follow the theme Foundations for the Family.

Pastor Anyabwile recently spoke at the national Ligonier Ministries Conference in Orlando, Florida. For a limited time, Ligonier is making videos of the conference freely available. The video of his sermon entitled Cosmic Treason: Sin and the Holiness of God is below.

And… this year, in cooperation with Sola Scriptura, we are pleased to give a free hard-cover book entitled What is a Healthy Church Member (authored by Thabiti Anyabwile) for each registration submitted before the conference and settled up in full on Saturday August 22nd.

Thanks for your interest and support.  We’d appreciate your prayers for those involved in preparing for the conference, both for those involved with logistics and our speakers.

God bless,
